FOR LOVE OF THE GAME
In a year in which Game On Magazine celebrated Manitoba’s hockey families, perhaps
the most successful of all was the Leipsic family from Winnipeg: Top to bottom, left to
right: Jeremey Leipsic of the MJHL’s Portage Terriers won his second straight MJHL
championship; Despite battling injuries Brendan Leipsic of the AHL’s Toronto Marlies
finished with 51 points in 49 games; and Emma Leipsic of the Manitoba Grey Owls in
the MWJHL was nominated for the Rookie of the Year Award
