tendance met with Patrice Cormier, Darren Kramer, Kevin Czuczman,
and Jake Baker for pictures and autographs.
Last year, the Manitoba Moose donated $16,992 to St. Amant’s
autism programs. The money was used to purchase
computers with plexi-monitor protection for
pre-academic skills, specialized educational
software, and Leap Frog tablets with learn-
ing games uniquely designed for children
with autism. Manitoba Moose players Patrice
Cormier, Darren Kramer, Kevin Czuczman paid
a visit to St. Amant to see first-hand what last
year’s donation provided.
“It’s cool to see the kids using all the new
material in the classroom and see what
last year’s donation was able to provide
for them,” said Cormier. “It’s really spe-
cial to be a part of.”
During the visit, the players played
floor hockey with the residents of St.
Amant, participated in learning games,
and chatted with St. Amant autism tutors.
“We are full of gratitude to the Manitoba Moose for this partner-
ship that is setting these children up for success in school and be-
yond,” said Juliette Mucha, director of the St. Amant Foundation.
“Thank you is not nearly enough.”
One-in-68 children are diagnosed with a complex developmental
disability and early intervention is key to children having good out-
comes. The need for support is greater than ever and the Manitoba
Moose Hockey Club is proud to support St. Amant and remain dedi-
cated to a cause that is important and relevant to the community. n
