Winnipeg goalie dad Tim Muys remembers the first time he saw an Eli Wilson Goaltending Camp.
“I’m looking out onto the ice and there are 35 goaltenders out there,” Muys said with a grin. “My immediate thought
was, ‘What did we get into here? How is a guy going to instruct 35 goalies with two hours of ice time?’ “I was amazed.
He orchestrates 30-35 goaltenders on the ice at once in complete harmony. You see all those goalies and think, ‘Holy
smokes!’ But he gets them going and it’s really impressive. “Within 10 minutes of watching Eli on the ice with any goalie,
you can sense there’s a difference. He’s not a traditional goaltending coach. He’s like some kind of Goalie Whisperer.”
