The Autism Awareness game on March
31st will feature a number of unique
elements, including a special autism
awareness jersey which will be worn by
the Manitoba Moose during the game
and later auctioned off on the concourse
and online. Individuals supported
by the St. Amant foundation will
participate in a ceremonial puck drop
prior to the start of the game, where
they will be recognized and celebrated.
In previous years, proceeds from the
Autism Awareness campaign has assisted
the St.Amant Foundation in purchasing
the technology, toys and supplies needed
to outfit community classrooms for pre-
school children diagnosed with autism.
The funds from this year’s campaign
will continue to assist individuals with
autism and their families who require the
services of the St.Amant Foundation.
The Autism Awareness Campaign is
the final community initiative of a very
busy season for the Manitoba Moose,
which seen over 30 unique community
appearances and more than 480 hours
given back to the community by the
Moose players and coaching staff.
