8 Things t o know About Riley Beauchemin 1 He believes the four best forwards in the MMJHL are Faulkner, Rybuck, Mathews and Burmey. “Faulkner is big and strong and has the ability to change the tempo of any game,” he said. “Rybuck is a great playmaker who battles hard every shift. Burmey is a dangerous player who is awesome on the power play. Mathews is a great leader who is very hard to play against.” 2 The best defenseman is Gravel, “He has been for years. He’s the most reliable D-Man in the league and makes the best passes through the neutral zone of any player.” 3 7 4 8 Charleswood’s Ryan Hall is clearly the best goalie. “I don’t think I’ve scored on the guy this year.” As for the best team? “The Raiders are the team to beat. And if you can beat the best, you are the best.” 5 6 His passions away from the rink include family, friends, and golf. He likes all kinds of music. “I like a lot different styles. I like some country music, but only the new stuff and I like jazz -- classics by Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., and Peggy Lee. He just might be the MMJHL’s version of Datsyuk. The most influential people in his hockey life are his Triple A Coach Brad Chambers and his dad. “Coach Chambers taught me a lot of things about hockey, but the one person who has impacted most is my Dad. He’s taught me about being a good person and I credit him for everything I know.”
