It hasn’t been the best season
for the St. Vital Victorias,
but it would be pretty hard
to question the effort of
captain Riley Beauchemin.
Granted, after a great start,
injuries beat up the Vics and
were it not for Beauchemin’s
play, St. Vital might have been
looking at the post-season
from behind the glass.
As it was, the Vics finished
the season in seventh place
with a record of 20-21-2
and drew the powerhouse
Charleswood Hawks (30-
9-3) in the first round of
the playoffs. But without
Beauchemin’s performance, it’s
unlikely the Vics would have
finished in the post-season.

for a second-straight year,
last year’s Manitoba Major
Junior Hockey League MVP
could very well be named
MVP again. Especially when

Behind him is the Stonewall
Jets’ Chase Faulkner with
61 points in 43 games (1.42
points per game); Carson
Rybuck of the Raiders with
60 points in 40 games (1.50
points per game); and Nicolas
Burmey from Riels with 59
points in 42 games (1.40
