High School Spotlight on Tahj Anderson My name is Tahj Ander- son, I am a senior at Henry County High School. I am a former player of the 2016-2017 Henry County basketball team as- well as captain of the tennis team. I am currently president of Future Business Leaders of America, Vice President of Skills USA, Vice president of Men of Honor, Chairman of DECA, and a Peer Me- diator. My Senior year has been everything but simple, with my basketball team reaching the final four and placing 3rd in Skills USA Region Competition. Entering high school in 9th grade, I told myself, I wanted to make a change in the world. Now being one of the top lead- ers in school, I give my all to make sure that I am the example and positive role model for all my peers that are trying to find their way through life and look up to me as a path you can take to better for yourself. Being a Peer Mediator has also helped me grow as a per- son. Experiencing a variety of conflicts my peers face in their daily lives has moti- vated me to be a foundation and give them support to stay on the right path and be the best they can be. Although it has been a tough journey, high School has truly prepared me for the next chapter of life. While in college I plan on getting my Masters in both Computer Informa- tion Systems and Business Administration. I want to become a CIS Specialist. During my career, I still plan to own several small businesses; such as, bar- bershops, restaurants, and hopefully a few facilities that give back and sup- port the next generation. I believe my purpose in life is to show God through the resources he gives me to make the World a better place!
