GAMbIT is back for another issue to help keep you all in the know on whats going on in the world of games and entertainment. This month sees us hitting the E3 gaming convention, so stay tuned next month for a full breakdown. But until then, this month we have a lot of quality content to provide!
We had lots of great emails and messages from readers ilast month --we are still planning on a Q&A section just like gaming magazine's used to have; remember those! Remember that we also are on YouTube with lots of original content. GAMbIT Magazine is created out of love and requires hours upon hours of work to make happen, so every single comment and email means a lot to us, even the mean ones! As always, we provide this publication free of charge and we plan on keeping it that way. But as this magazine does not make any money (no paid ads grace these pages) we again turn to you all to help build up GAMbIT.
We see thousands of readers every month and continue to see growth in readership in this lovely community. With that, we want to devote more time and energy into the design and layout of GAMbIT every month. We'd love to expand into new avenues, with more editors and a dedicated design staff to make reading GAMBIT a more enjoyable and interactive experience.
While the easiest thing is to just charge money for this product (something many in the industry have said to do) we feel that what makes GAMbIT different is that we are not only free, but free from advertiser control. That means that our bills are paid out of our own pockets, and while that is always a challenge, it means that we answer to nobody and our writers are encouraged to speak their mind at all times.
But to expand and create a better magazine for our fans, we need your help. Our boys in marketing (the same person that handles design tell me that if everyone reading donated one dollar a month, we would be able to be self sufficent until the end of the year. Yes, we see those kind of numbers, and you guys are all fantastic for reading. Every penny that comes in will go to making this magazine a better read for you, the fans.
That means more Op-Ed's from names you know within the video game, movie, and television industry. It means the ability to bring in more writers to provide in-depth previews of upcoming games, and expand the news section. It would also mean an actual design team that will make GAMbIT a much nicer reading experience. We have gone a year now doing this by the seat of our pants, and we will continue to do so because of the love of the art, but with your help we can grow GAMbIT in new ways.
This magazine is a much yours as it is ours. We value your feedback and support and we know it's always weird asking for money, but know that we will continue to keep GAMbiT free and continue to provide the best content possible. Seeing as GAMbIT is an interactive magazine, you'll find a donate button below that will take you to our page where you can give. If you do donate once, or on a monthly basis, please leave your name/twitter handle so we can thank you in the following issue.
Now go ahead and flip the page to get on with this month and all it features. Thanks for reading and we look forward to what the future holds!
