But before we trace the story of the Hodgkiss family I shall end this section with a photograph
of the four Anderson sisters again. This time it must have been taken in about 1945 as the
occasion is clear to me as is the plinth of the birdbath they are sitting on. They had moved from
West Street to 51 Berg Street by then. Grandfather Jack apparently built the birdbath and of
course it was a source of Great Pride to the sisters. I would have been about five at the time.
