Sometimes as a Galavanter wrong turns would be made en route to your final destination. That’s one of the reasons why your gas tank should always be adequately topped up, because you never know where you might end up. In our case, we ended up in Quail Valley Drive, San Fernando and passed one of the most beautiful parks in south Trinidad. As we drove by and peered inside through the gaps of the natural coloured picket fence, it was noticed that the park bears a strong resemblance to the Botanical Gardens located in the north of the country, with its well-manicured lawns and trees of various species growing throughout the park. Yet, from the outside, we sensed that it was unique in its own special way and we couldn’t resist the urge to go in. Like true tourists, this was not done without missing the turn to the entrance. Alas, the narrow, golf course-like driveway of the 40 acre Palmiste Park came into view and we entered. There was even a heart shaped lily pond! As we rest and unwind, we invite you to do so with us through our photo stories. “You never know where you might end up” Photographer- Shelly-Ann Inniss
