• It houses a lighthouse over 800 feet above the Gulf of Paria

•In the 18th and early 19th century: It supported four whaling stations

•1842: The Catholic Church was gifted 80 acres of land in Chacachacare

•1845: The first leprosy patients were cared for by the nuns.

•1938: A German Nazi training ship was seen in Chacachacare causing panic when the swastika was revealed.

•1984: The last leprosy patient left Chacachacare.
