If you had told me several years ago that I’ d become obsessed with plants, I don’ t know if I would have believed you.
Yet now, I find myself with 20-something plants at home, perhaps more at my Weatherford office and several at the Gainesville location. Each one is my baby.
But when spring rolls around, that’ s when I get to focus on all green things outdoors. As I’ ve learned more and more about plants, which ones draw pollinators, which ones come back every year, which prefer shade or full sun and other little characteristics, I feel like I’ ve gotten a little closer with nature.
And I’ ve learned that plants aren’ t just pretty— they all serve a purpose, catering to bees or caterpillars or hummingbirds, even deer! Sp I hope this issue encourages you to take a closer look at nature, maybe try your hand at gardening, maybe even form your own Monarch waystation!
