GAELIC SPORTS WORLD Issue 37 – October 31, 2015 | Page 2

FOREWORD FROM THE EDITOR Diversity was king at last weekend’s 2015 Asian Gaelic Games at Shanghai in China. Some 700 players from over 13 countries representing 23 clubs and some 60 teams from all across Asia were on hand for the premier GAA event of the season in the region. But not only did we have a diverse range of clubs and nationalities but the results of the two day tournament showed that no one club dominated and that trophies were handed out to many different teams and clubs. This diversity in both playing numbers and victorious sides is one of the hallmarks of this growing and influential GAA world competition and augers very well for the future of Gaelic Sports in the region. In our main story we look back on this year’s Asian GAA Games.
