and stayed in touch. With 2 minutes on
the clock Clann na hOman were 3 points
up and looking good when the Dubai
Celts got in behind their defence to score
a goal that would grace a World Cup final drawing the match and forcing the
game into extra time. Both sides swapped
scores but the Dubai Celts add a little bit
extra in the tank and hit a couple of great
points to secure the victory.
HURLING LEAGUE
With 8 Teams vying for honours this
year the Hurling League got off to a great
start down in Sharjah on October 9th.
With Hurling on the crest of a wave in
the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in particular there was some new look teams
on display for the 1st Round. Dubai St
Aidans and Abu Dhabi B dominated the
opening stages in Group 1 whilst Dubai
Halfway House and Abu Dhabi A dominated Group 2. The Plate final was played
in great spirit between the combined
forces of Sharjah/Al Ain/Oman against
a Qatar/Arabian Celts combo team with
the former having enough to secure the
win.

In the Cup semi -finals Dubai Halfway House and Abu
Dhabi A had enough to guarantee their places in the final.
It was a real battle in the decider with both sides keen to
lay down a marker early in the season and no quarter was
asked or given but honours went to the Dubai Halfway
House on this occasion to secure their first tournament
win of the Season.
CAMOGIE LEAGUE
History was made with the launch of the Camogie
League at Sharjah. With all teams based in the UAE there
was a strong turnout of players for the 1st Round. The
