LADIES FOOTBALL
In the Ladies Senior League Abu
Dhabi Na Fianna the defending
champions were hot favorites coming into the tournament. An influx
of players over the summer saw
some of the other clubs coming
to Doha with a real sense of purpose. Qatar GAA were one of those
Clubs and had a good win over
the Kuwait Harps in the opening
games.

Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Dubai all had good wins in the
Group games to secure the places in the semi finals of the
Cup. Newly promoted Kuwait Harps had a great win over
Dubai B to secure their place in the Plate final against
Abu Dhabi B. In a very close encounter Abu Dhabi B
came out victorious but Kuwait will have enjoyed their
first outing in the Senior League and will look to build
on that for the rest of the season.

INTERMEDIATE FOOTBALL LEAGUE
The opening round of the Mens & Ladies Intermediate
League was played in Oman, Friday October 16th and was
hosted by local GAA club, Clann na hOman.
The host’s got off to a wining start in the Mens competition with a good win over Abu Dhabi na Fianna. Last year’s

for point but two quick goals
in succession saw Abu Dhabi take the lead which they
never relinquished for the
rest of the game continuing
where they left off last season by lifting the inaugural
Charlotte Sant Cup.
