SEMIS AND FINAL

One of the highlights of the Leinster quarter finals
was Laois defeating rivals Offaly. Then things picked
up again when Dublin and Galway drew in another
quarter though the game itself was hit and miss. Poor
shooting from both sides and missed chances the norm.
Dublin looked to be in control but faltered late on. The
replay saw a much improved Galway destroy the Dubs
with skill, pace and power with the contest over a long
way out. Galway then took care of Laois in the semifinal. Wexford had done okay in the league and after a
good championship season the prior year when knocking out the then defending champions Clare, they were
expected to give Kilkenny a batt H[
