Final between Kilkenny and Galway on September 6th
at Croke Park where Kilkenny added to their modern era
treasure throve of All Ireland titles when defeating Galway

ments – Galway’s Jason Flynn’s high ball control and point,
Kilkenny’s Ger Aylward arrow-like white flag from a tight
angle – but for the most part it was a physical encounter. This game was all about intensity in the tackle with
Galway winning this battle in the opening half but with
the defending champions dominating in the all-important
second half, the period in a game where matches are won
and lost.
