Photo: NACB. “Such are the logistics across North America, this weekend tends to be the one big tournament some teams get to attend and this is where a lot of their fundraising efforts throughout the year are centred on.” It takes a lot of effort from both the overall NACB organizing committee and the host organizers to put this event together each year and Owens said that everything was good to go for the weekend. “The host committee of the Central Board/Chicago GAA look to have everything under control and have been great to work with. It appears no detail has been left out this year to make it a great experience for both players and spectators,” he noted. “Each year presents different challenges be it logistics or general event planning. The team in Chicago have been fantastic 8 to work with and have been very willing to go that extra mile for the NACB to make sure it’s a successful weekend for everyone concerned. “There’s a lot of pride within the Chicago GAA and they are showing it with their commitment to this event.” The following is a brief look at some of the teams to watch in the various codes and grades. MEN’S FOOTBALL Five teams from across the country will take to the field beginning on Friday for the Men’s Senior Football event. The ones to watch in this competition will be defending and Western champions Ulster from San Francisco.
