It’s a strange footballing world. Kerry scrape a draw with
Cork in the Munster Final and as is their wont, they win
the replay. Kildare edge out Laois but the Dubs send them
packing, they progress in the Qualifiers, hand out a walloping to Longford and then give Cork a lesson in football.
A week later they are annihilated, squashed, squeezed by
Kerry, the team Cork should have beaten a few weeks earlier. It all seems to defy logic. It does and it also shows that
Kerry intend to hold on to the canister and to have more
Celtic Crosses in the mugs on the dresser.
WON HEARTS
Fermanagh lost their match with the Dubs, but they surely won the hearts of everyone in Croke Park or watching on
