FOREWORD FROM THE EDITOR GAELIC SPORTS WORLD PUBLISHER: EDITOR: This Issue 28 is packed with news, views and opinions on the World of Gaelic Sports with our main story focus on happenings in the Lone Star State. The final round of the 2015 Texas Gaelic Football Championship was held last weekend at Dallas and the level of play and competition as well as the enjoyment sourced by the many attending athletes points to a steady trickle of locals getting involved in Gaelic Sports in the region. The Texas Championship maybe only four years old and has only 4 clubs as yet, but each organization is growing multiple ladies and men’s football teams each season with Americans getting in on the game and loving it. The aspect of reaching out to community and respecting the local ethos is attracting new converts to the GAA, and though young, the Texan clubs are building with a local plan in mind and that can only be healthy for the future well-being.
