FOREWORD FROM THE EDITOR
GAELIC SPORTS WORLD
PUBLISHER:
Giant leaps start with small steps.
And, if that small first step is well
planned and executed, the chances
of it leading to something much
bigger increase ten-fold.

CONTRIBUTING WRITERS:
The North American GAA County
Board (NACB) broke new ground
recently when for the first time in the
history of the organization, the NACB
took a small but very important step
in appearing at the annual US
national convention SHAPE - The
Society for Health and Physical
Educators, in Seattle.
This week long convention is the
premier shop window for getting an
organization’s particular sport into
PE programs in schools and colleges
across America. It offered the NACB
a unique chance to showcase their
games to mainstream American
institutions.
In issue 23, we report on Gaelic
Sports presence at the SHAPE
Convention and how this initiative led
by Seattle GAA club youth officers
and school PE teachers, could yet
turn out to be a very big step indeed.
