GAA WORLD IN PHOTOS HURLING CLUB OF BUENOS AIRES’ ST. PATRICK’S DAY BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA MARCH 21, 2015 Hurling Club of Buenos Aires celebrated St. Patrick’s Day festivities at their facilities on Saturday last, March 21st in suitable fashion with games of Hurling and Gaelic Football. Hurling Club, who play rugby and hockey, originally got their start in the early 20th century as a hurling club but the sport faded to extinction, yet today the club is earnestly seeking to rejuvenate the game as well as Gaelic football. Last weekend was another opportunity for the club to connect with their Irish heritage. Several matches took places in both codes during the day with teams made up of Irish born that are living in Argentina, and native Argentines as well Single vs Married with yet another game for Irish by marriage vs full blooded Irish.
