PAUL CARPENTER - ASIA LADIES TEAMS COACH It was a wonderful honour to coach such a talented bunch of players on such a prestigious occasion. Having only played against each other, and never together, and all used to very different styles of coaching, the performance in the 1st half of the semi-final against ME 1 was a glimpse of our potential as a team. It was wonderful to see it all come together. Next time there will hopefully be more games, so we can have a diversity of opposition and allow the team to grow more over the competition. I think that we have unearthed a gem of an event here that will only continue to grow and improve every time it is held. We follow the events through Facebook with the 8 hours’ time zone difference but everyone was quite informed of the events and of course Very Happy! The club has printed pictures of the team and the best part is that other Argentine Associations are now interested in playing so we might finish with our own league in no time. We are absolutely amazed with the results and didn’t expect that they were going to perform so well. Ireland and the GAA should not let this opportunity pass and we should work hard in creating a strong Diaspora and this is just the tip of the iceberg. BRIAN FARMER - CANADA GAA CHAIRMAN To see and be part of the first Gaa World Cup was a brilliant experience not only for the players but for management and spectators alike.
