teams. This event will finish in early summer and running
concurrently will be rounds of the Brittany Cup. The all
French side of Liffré are the dominant force in Brittany
and are the reigning champions but were pushed all the
way by Rennes last year who later won the cup competition. Rennes shade things by one point after Phase 1.
A further 10 teams will be involved in the France Federal competition with rounds due to take place from late
spring into summer. Paris are the reigning champions and
the team to beat this season. The island clubs of Jersey and
local crown. In their way will be rivals Amsterdam, the
15 a-side Premier European champions. Den Hague and
Luxemburg teams will also be in the mix. The 15 a-side
competition was introduced over the past two years with
the winners gaining entry into the Leinster Junior Club
Championship in Ireland. This ‘premier’ Euro event is designed for the top senior graded teams in Europe. Grading
men’s tournaments’ have also been introduced in recent
years to determine senior and intermediate levels with
junior sides emerging from the latter at the European 11’s
Championship Tournament in October.

and 11s championship for
