FOREWORD FROM THE EDITOR GAELIC SPORTS WORLD PUBLISHER: It’s the start of a new year for Gaelic Sports around the globe with GAA players worldwide tugging at the bit to get back out on the field. That scenario might have to wait a little longer as the deep of winter arrives in the northern hemisphere with just a couple of GAA leagues in the north braving the weather. We do have a little more action in the southern hemisphere; still January is a lean month for tournaments on a global basis. So in Issue 17, we look ahead in the first of a Two Part Series looking at the events and tournaments of 2015 with Part 1 featuring happenings in Europe, Asia and the United States. We welcome the return of Ireland Football & Ireland Hurling columns in looking back on 2014 in Ireland. The magazine also introduces a New Opinion column with a wide scope for indulgence.
