Darcy also spoke of the appeal of GAA games to non-Irish
outside of Ireland.
“Our games are unique but Gaelic football is a very easy game
to play [and] very transferable across different sports. So, just
because you’re not born in Ireland and not native to Gaelic
football in particular, you can come and pick it up very easily, very quickly and [is a ] very good game to play,” remarked
Darcy.
ZAYED SPORTS COMPLEX
The Zayed Sports venue is a fast complex featuring different
sporting facilities. There is a 50,000 stadium and this is surrounded by 14 other pitches [soccer & rugby] where the games
will take place.
The Middle East GAA have experience of running rounds of
their annual league at the venue which at any one tournament
can see
