FOREWORD FROM THE EDITOR The month of October is a busy time for International Gaelic Sports events with no less than three major tournaments within three weeks of each other. In the previous Issue we looked ahead to the first of these the Australasian Championships in Melbourne, Australia. Snapping at its heals comes the Asian Gaelic Games a week later with the much anticipated games taking place in the tropical paradise of the country of Malaysia just south of the city of Kuala Lumpur. This annual event is a highlight for over 500 GAA players in the East and this weekend at the Taman Ekuestrian Putrajaya teams from all across Asia, from Seoul to India will compete over two days for top honours. The competition in the Senior, Intermediate and Junior Cups in both men’s and ladies football, hurling and camogie will be intense and our review of the event is our cover-story this issue. Not forgetting the third big event we also look ahead to next week’s European GAA Gaelic Football Championships in Holland.
