I WANT TO BUY A GOOD LOOKING SMARTPHONE WITH A

You can buy great devices under `12,000. The
recently launched Redmi Note 3 from Xiaomi has a
superb display, camera and battery. You can consider
the 32 GB variant which comes with 3 GB RAM, priced
at `11,999. The LeEco 1s for `10,999 is good, too.

I WANT TO BUY AN IPHONE BUT I'M CONFUSED BETWEEN
THE IPHONE SE AND THE IPHONE 6S. CAN YOU SUGGEST
WHICH ONE IS BETTER? BUDGET IS NO CONSTRAINT.

The processing power of both are the same. They differ
in screen size and battery. The iPhone SE is compact
with a 4-inch display, whereas the iPhone 6s packs in a
4.7-inch display. If you are comfortable with a bigger
display, go for the iPhone 6s, otherwise the iPhone SE is
ideal. In terms of battery, both phones last a day.
Camera results are similar on both the devices. One
thing missing in the iPhone SE is 3D touch.
I HAVE LIMITED CELLULAR DATA ON MY MOBILE CONNECTION, BUT A LOT OF DATA IS CONSUMED BY APPS. IS
THERE ANY APP THAT CAN HELP ME SAVE ON MOBILE

DATA?

You can download the Opera Max app and use it to
customise the settings for data consumption. It
allows you to change settings for individual apps as
well as videos and images. You can also turn on data
saving on the mobile browser.
Storage Woes
It is strange how companies are
continuing to come up with 8 GB
and 16 GB storage space in phones,
when apps consume up to a few
hundred MBs and sometimes GBs,
too. I wish there was a norm that
disallowed companies to
manufacture phones with internal
storage less than 32 GB or 64 GB.
This would help customers load
data and also heavy gaming
graphic apps.
