Training Conferences
The Parole Board is active in professional organizations that offer training opportunities to our employees.
In February, Atlanta hosted the American Probation and Parole Association's annual winter training institute. At APPA, our Clemency Division provided a training workshop for attendees (below). The presentation by our staff on the Board's Parole Decision Guidelines System was well received.
At right, Parole Board Member Braxton Cotton and Field Services Deputy Director Felicia Holloway attended the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives William R. Bracey Winter CEO Symposium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Over 300 law enforcement officials from diverse backgrounds attended several panel presentations.
