on the last step of
success,
reaching
out to new
heights.
Fond memories are
evoked, and are followed
by fresh emotions and
thoughts. And then the
question arises..."What
if I had someone to guide
me through all this,
someone
who
had
already gone through the
ups and downs of exams
and assignments, and
faced the battle with the
toughest of subjects?"
In this column, we
bring
to
you
the
interviews
of
some
fourth year students of
our college, who bring to
us their valuable advice
and suggestions on how
to make the best of our
time here. Reading these
words will inspire you,
but but it doesn't just
stop at that. It will make
you want to step into
their shoes, and will tell
you that you are not
alone in your journey.
And most importantly, it
will give you the
confidence, that if they
could do it, so can you.

GNITS is a glorifying torch which held me and made me burn as brightly as
possible. The spark was first lit when I was elected to represent my class for 2
yrs. It was when I started playing Basketball and got selected into the team after
a constant endeavour for a year and won laurels for the college that I realised
the plethora of opportunities GNITS provides. My
participation at National Boxing Championship at
Raipur, Chhattisgarh added a feather to my hat.
Through these activities the college has made me
realise that though you may lose your game, you
will emerge as a FIGHTER for life. On the
academic front I scored 88%. I built a ROBO ARM
at IIT-H and presented a paper on “BRAIN
COMPUTER INTERFACE”. I was the Vice
President for STREET CAUSE-GNITS. I have
been working as a volunteer at Ramakrishna Math from 4 yrs. I won District
Level Quiz and Elocution Competitions conducted by Election Commission of
India for 2 years consecutively and received my voter-id from Election
Commissioner, Mr.Bhanwar lal himself. This was possible because of the
immense support of our esteemed faculty who taught me that my “I CAN” is
more important than my IQ. My inspiration is Swami Vivekananda who
preached that “we are the creators of our own destiny” and every woman for her
dauntless spirit to prove her mettle. My goal is to become the best Civil Servant
of the country and to ensure that every child receives quality education and no
farmer commits suicide. I advise my juniors to find out what their PASSION is
and what they want to achieve in life as I believe, “A person who looks outside
DREAMS but a person who looks inside AWAKENS”.
