FIRE TRAINING

Fire Training , led by a Captain and supported by three Lieutenants , is responsible for the certification , professional development and skills retention of all emergency responders in the Arlington Fire Department .
The training staff develops and evaluates a multitude of courses using a variety of learning domains to enhance our members ’ knowledge , skill , and aptitude in a variety of areas including the following :
• Basic Training Schools for New Members and AISD Fire Academy
• Fire Rescue and EMS Continuing Education
• Fire Officer Professional Development
• Driver Operator Certification
• Special Operations Training for Specialized Response Teams
