FD’s Fleet consists of a
combination of apparatus
ranging from traditional fire
engines, aerial (ladder) trucks,
and command vehicles to
more specialized vehicles that
support Special Operations,
Fire Prevention, and Special
Events. The average age
of the Fire Department fleet
is eight years and is valued
at more than $17 million.
The
Apparatus
Specialist
coordinates
the
daily
maintenance activities for all
frontline, reserve, and support
vehicles.

purchasing,
procuring,
and delivering the supplies
and tools needed to operate
and sustain 17 fire stations,
17 Engine companies, five
Ladder companies, and other
specialized
vehicles
and
apparatus. The Fire Resource
Supervisor and three assistants
manage assets and inventory
that include emergency medical
supplies, personal protective
equipment, rescue tools, grant
funded items, and station
supplies and appliances.
