Fire Training The Fire Training Section is responsible for the certification, professional development, and skills retention of all emergency responders in the Arlington Fire Department. The Training Section is led by a Captain who is supported by a Training Lieutenant, Recruitment Lieutenant, AISD Lieutenant, Media Technician, and an Office Assistant. Our facility includes:  Office/classroom training facility for new recruit and continuing education classes Charlie Campbell  6 story multiuse training tower for fire/ emergency evolutions and exercises  A drill field including special operations simulators for Gas Well, Confined Space, and Trench rescue emergency training Training Section Captain The Training staff develops and evaluates a multitude of courses using a variety of learning domains to enhance our members’ knowledge, skills and aptitude in the following areas:   Basic Training School for New Fire Department Members Basic Training for AISD Fire Academy  Fire/Rescue and EMS Continuing Education  Fire Officer Professional Development  Special Events Training DUTY /  Driver Operator Certification  Gas Well Emergency Response  CBRN/HazMat  Dive/Swiftwater  High Angle/Confined Space  Continuing Education Classes HONOR / COMPASSION 15 / EXCELLENCE
