FY2012 was a great year for the Arlington Fire Department. Many goals were achieved due to
the outstanding leadership and professional efforts exhibited by all AFD team members. It was
thought that the successes of FY2011 couldn’t be topped; with the Super Bowl, World Series, and
all the great things the Department did that year. FY2012 was an even greater year for the
Department. Nothing is beyond the reach and ability of the AFD team. Great things were
achieved in the Arlington Fire Department, because our members care!

The Squad Program grew with the implementation of Squad 4 at Fire Station #4. AFD
increased emergency response capacity and further improved the 2in/2out safety factor, while
improving operational efficiency. The program has been well received by the citizens.

AFD implemented the Gas Well Preparedness
and Response Program.
