fire. In FY 2011, the average was one minute 50 seconds. The two-in/two-out standard is a safety precaution that helps
decrease the risk of injury and death for fire fighters. It ensures there are at least two firefighters outside during an interior structural fire, prepared to enter, if necessary, to rescue the firefighters inside.
