FY2023-2024 Accomplishments Continued
� Implementation of the 2021 Park Bond Program continued through the year . Yeargan Park design reached the 60 % design milestone . The White Deer Park Inclusive Playground completed design development and reached the 70 % design milestone . The Meadowbrook Park Dam and Pond Project began with the draw down of the pond and permitting process for the breach of the aging dam . Design of the South Garner Greenway Extension reached the 30 % design milestone .
� The Garner Recreational Park playground resurfacing project was completed , replacing the playground mulch with poured-in-place rubber safety surfacing to improve accessibility for visitors using wheelchairs and other mobility aids and to provide overall better cushioning for falls and slips . This project was funded by the 2021 Park Bond . Working with the Parks , Recreation and Cultural Resources Advisory Committee , the Department finalized an update to Chapter 10 ( Action and Implementation ) of the 2020-2030 Parks , Recreation & Cultural Resources Comprehensive Master Plan ( adopted in January 2020 ), establishing priorities for the plan ’ s strategy / action items .
