FY2023-2024 Accomplishments � Held two drop-off electronic recycling events . � Both Property Maintenance Supervisor ’ s received their re-certification as a Certified Playground
Safety Inspector . � Creech Road Tennis Court Reconstruction was funded and completed with three new courts , fencing , timing locks , and windscreen . � Supported all stakeholders with special events to ensure they were successful . The amount of special events increased by 42 % compared to the previous year . � Continued the implementation and training process of the work order software for all the Property
Maintenance Division which is Asset Essentials through Brightly . � Improved drainage at the White Deer Park Playground by installing a drain with pipe to help aid the water flow and prevent the playground from flooding after rain events . � Renovated the ground screenings at South Garner Park softball fields to ensure a level area for the bleachers . � Started a fungicide program at the Garner Recreation Center field to help combat a fairy ring issue which produces mushrooms and can deteriorate the quality of the turf grass . � Several major irrigation line repairs around the athletic fields to ensure a better quality of turf grass . � Tree pruning project at Creech Road Softball field parking lot improved the overall lighting capacity to help with public safety . � Completed trash collections on schedule with a low complaint per customer rate . � Completed both spring and fall “ unprepared ” cleanups on schedule as well as an additional unplanned storm debris clean-up . � Oversaw Streets Preservation project that utilized 286,748 square yards of asphalt preservation treatment to Town streets . � Commenced ADA assessment to approximately 110 miles of sidewalks , Town-owned facilities , and parks . � Performed maintenance to approximately 10,952 linear feet of sidewalks . � Completed Retention Pond Maintenance on each pond four times throughout the year . � Managed and completed a RFP painting project that consisted of interior and exterior painting and repair of the Senior Center , Senior Center Annex , Avery Street Gym , GPAC , and Depot . � Completed a new generator install project at Public Works that provides emergency power when utility power is out . � Facilities continued to assist in protecting valuable Town IT server room equipment that impacts
Town communication . � Managed and completed a RFP Flooring Project to remove and replace flooring at Avery Street
Gym . � Facilities managed and oversaw Preventative Maintenance for 36 Town-owned buildings . � Senior Fleet Technician achieved Certified Stage Line Operator certification . � Completed NCDEQ Inspection of UGST ’ s located at Public Works Site .
