The department achieves this through a combination of education , enforcement , prevention , and various partnerships and programs such as the Achievement Academy , the Citizens ’ Police Academy , Community Watch , and School Resource Officers . The Garner Police Department includes the Patrol Bureau and the Support Services Bureau . We are a nationally accredited and professional law enforcement agency committed to community policing to enhance the overall quality of life in the town .
