Looking Forward

Y 2014 was another great
year for the City of Arlington.
Much was accomplished,
many more projects are currently
under way and plans for the future are
in development. With that in mind,
the City Council modified the City’s
planning priorities for FY 2015 to
create a focus on Championing Great
Neighborhoods and Investing in our
Economy. Enhance Regional Mobility
and Support Quality Education remain
planning priorities. The realignment of
the Council priorities acknowledges
the work already completed and
strengthens the City’s focus on
neighborhoods and economic
development.

Continuing to promote economic
development opportunities within
the City of Arlington is integral to the
viability of the community. The City
will finalize its citywide comprehensive
plan in FY 2015, providing an
integrated approach to all aspects
of Arlington’s development. And the
design of the new Central Library will
be another large investment in the
City’s downtown core.
