Commodore's Report
Happy Fall ! (and hopefully some cooler weather)
In case you haven’t noticed, FWYC is becoming a very busy place.
With the membership level now at 322, we are seeing a lot more
people taking advantage of all the club has to offer. For example, slips
are filling up, dry storage is essentially full, lunch activity is booming,
and the bar is full on event nights. The Juniors are also active with
their Saturday Learn to Race program, attending regattas and High
School sailing kicking off. Its great to see the activity. When you see a
new person, take a moment and introduce yourself & make them feel
welcome. Who knows what you might have in common?
We have a slate of club wide activities through the rest of the year.
These include the General Membership Meeting on October 6,
Election Day on November 3, the Egg Nog Party on December 15, a
lighted Boat Parade on December 18 and the Commodore’s Ball on
New Years Eve. Mark your calendars and join in on the activity.
