Though not planned by the Entertainment Committee, the Commo- dores’ Ball was a wonderful affair. Ray & Ann put together an evening that honored all past commodores of the club. The food was delicious, the décor was elegant and the dancing was wonder- ful. On October we held our Halloween Party. The theme was Heroes and Villains. As usual, the creativity of our club mem- bers did not disappoint. Those of you that stayed home missed the appearance of Captain Underpants, the Nursing Home He- roes, the Flintstones (including Pebbles), Popeye & Olive Oyl, Witches, Dracula & a Vampire Slayer, Moth & a Candle and others. We were entertained by the dance music of Something Fishy. But the BIG news ? This year with our new members, there were enough with young children to warrant a Children’s Hal- loween Party. The kids played games, decorated pumpkins and paraded through the lounge to display their costumes. What a great sight. Thanks to Nicky Mullis for spearheading the chil- dren’s party and all those that helped on both parties & of course those that brought delicious food for the potluck. For November, don’t forget the FCYC bimonthly meeting that FWYC is hosting on Nov 10-12. All Members are invited & sig- nups are available in the office. ~ Craig Stoldt
