Fort Walton Yacht Club Letter Log November 2018 30° 25.60’N 86° 35.58’W HOMEPORT By Vice Commodore Craig Stoldt Email: VICE [email protected] WELL, AGAIN WE SURVIVED a hurricane disaster. Thanks to all who volunteered to help and those who complied with the evacuation order. Damage was held to a minimum on the main dock, the swim platform and some erosion. Underway is our long planned exterior painting project. Thanks to Jennifer Grant for leading this effort. The Hoist Committee has narrowed its focus and is get- ting targeted quotes for our proposed design. Beyone the repairs, it's great to see the docks and dry storage near capacity. Thanks to Dockmaster Russell Brown and Dry Storage Chair Jim Serpa for keeping things organized. We have a few minor repairs to finish up, but if you have noticed something amiss, please inform the Office so it can be addressed. Enjoy our club environment and be safe.
