They all involved some kind of water activity. One year there were shark floats in the water as they watched Jaws on a big screen on the point. It was scary, but fun! The whole family has certainly enjoyed the great venue for gatherings and Shelby celebrating her 16th birthday on the Point parties as well as just floating around on Sunday afternoons with friends. Sailing and FWYC have certainly been a family affair in the Jeff, Shelby, and Jeff’s Brown family and it continues to be, as they sail on Amigo in brother, Russell, race on local regattas and represent FWYC in GYA regattas sailing Amigo during a WNFR Flying Scots. One thing that they would like to see change, would be to make it easier to launch the Flying Scots, so that families could have easier access to the boats for day sailing and picnics. They feel that family day sailing is an asset at FWYC that should be broadened. Jeff, Naomi and Shelby will be on the water and enjoying the FUN at FWYC for many, many years to come.
