Page 15 The FWYC Chapter of the Florida Commodores Association The FCA Winter meeting was held at the St. Andrews Bay Yacht Club on 07 - 08 February, 2014. St. Andrews Bay Yacht Club is our newest chapter and a large number of members from the Panhandle were there. P/C Bill Bushelle and Sam Weston sailed over to the meeting and had great weather in both directions. A great time was had by all and we introduced St. Andrews Bay YC to the Sundown Ceremony.... looked like it was a big success and will become a regular feature at their club also. We get through one meeting only to plan the next one. On 25-26 April, we will be at the Sarasota Yacht Club. We anticipate it to be a really great meeting. Take a look at their club website. . . http://www.sarasotayachtclub.org/. Remember all FCA Members and Associates, to include our current Flag Officer members, are invited to attend. It will be a great opportunity to see a great club. The FCA is in the process of creating the FCA Foundation, Inc. It is slated to be a 501 c(3) not-for- profit corporation which will allow our members to contribute to the education and support of yachting... especially for the young people of our state. In the past, we have given support to Olympic qualifying hopefuls and others. It is our hope that this will be a vehicle through which we can grow and strengthen our support. Don't miss the next luncheon on 4 March, beginning at noon in the Commodores Room. P/C Tom Reynolds, President Weather Routing Inc. (WRI) is Pleased to Provide Weather Forecasts for WetaFest WRI will be providing forecasts XX
