The launch of the Bowlegs Invasion the first weekend in
June was another huge success. This event allowed
FWYC to give back to our community while exposing our
wonderful club to locals and visitors. We hosted over 450
guests for the day as they boarded boats to travel to
invade the city. Upon return, many guests stayed to relax
in the air conditioning, sample Eliana’s jello shots and
visit with friends before leaving for their next event.
A Special thanks to all of our Staff who made the pirates
feel welcome, kept the grounds clean, restocked the
restrooms and quenched the thirst of most all of those
attending. The Membership Committee spearheaded the
volunteer endeavor with the help of Vice Commodore
Shari Seaton her parking team.
Thanks to FWYC members who gave up their day to
make this a very successful endeavor: PC Phyllis Seaton,
Rear Commodore Gina Gammick, Chris Washack, Carol
Baker, Jerry Black, PC Faye Black, Kerrie Serpa, Jim
Serpa, Pat Rennie, Marion Bushey, Wini Marquez,
Barbara MacPike, Karen David, Cece Stoldt, Vice
Commodore Shari Seaton, PC David Seaton, Leslie
Hanley, and Jon Meliferas.
It was an outstanding day at FWYC!
