The Fort Walton Yacht Club Chapter of the Florida Commodores Association( FCA) which consists of Past Commodores & their spouses is pleased to be hosting the Summer General Membership meeting on Friday, July 20 & Saturday, July 21.
Events for the meeting will include a Sundown ceremony to be held on Friday, July 20 at 6 PM and the General meeting on Saturday starting at 9:30 AM. After a short business meeting our morning speaker will be Commander Matthew Derrenbacher, current Chief of Response at Coast Guard Sector Mobile. Following lunch our afternoon speaker will be Col Edward L Hubbard, USAF( Retired) who we will join at the Air Force Armament Museum for a presentation & tour. There will be cocktails Saturday evening at 6 PM followed by dinner & dancing.
The FWYC / FCA Chapter encourages all members of FWYC to join us. You may register at the YC office for any or all of these events.
The FCA Ship ' s store boutique will be set up Friday evening with a selection of nautical clothing items, pearl jewelry & gift items for purchase. It will be cash or check sales only. FCA uniform items will be available during the Saturday general membership meeting for those interested.

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY to all of our FWYC ladies!! Due to the dates falling as they do, there will be no WOW Luncheon in July:'(. On the other hand, that gives us the opportunity to really celebrate our favorite, patriotic holiday with the rest of the Club!! THEN, on Thursday July 19, at 5:30 in the lounge, we will enjoy more celebration of the summer with the theme: " Sunset, Sundresses and Sangria." Come join hostesses Jan Morris and Harryette Cappadona to watch the gorgeous FWYC sunset, wear your favorite sundress, and enjoy Robert ' s special Sangria. Don ' t miss this very special, summertime fun!!
