From The Office
We have managed to make it through another month where the club
made a profit and we made the transfers to each of the fund accounts.
We have hosted a Celebration of Life and an 80th Birthday party so far
this month. These two events added $7,400 in revenue for the club.
The winter storm we had two weeks ago eroded our beach between the
two pine trees near the point, almost to the roadway. A large truck of
sand will be added to reinforce the beach as soon as our supplier can
get a load delivered.
We are pleased to present to the board a budget that shows making a
profit of $122K next year, which will allow us once again to meet our
internal commitments in Fiscal Year2020. This budget also allows us to
continue to fix the club up and pay for the expenditures outlined in the
five-year plan that is also being submitted to the board.
This budget also includes an additional $3,000 under the Rear
Commodore for family entertainment. This line item is budgeted to
help insure the club remains dedicated to providing a fun and
welcoming environment for families with small children at the club.
On December 22nd, we will have a special treat for the kids at brunch.
Santa Clause will be here to meet the kids and enjoy breakfast with
them. We will have special items on the menu that day to bring out
the kid in all of us. Count on Red Velvet and Oreo waffles to be on the
menu that day.
Please note that we will not be serving brunch on Sunday, December
15th as we will be prepping for the Eggnog party. We promise a really
spectacular party this year. The dining room will be closed on
December 6th as we will be hosting the Christmas Party and plated
dinner for our CPA, Warren Averett that night.
December is loaded up this year and we have 20 events on the calendar.
This will allow the Club to enter the new year with a little cash
cushion.
