The Boat Parade and Chili Cook-off are on 1 December. The Eggnog Party on 9 December, offers our members a grand holiday cocktail party. The Commodore’s Ball on New Year’s Eve starts at 6 pm and should be a memorable occasion, culminating with a toast to our 2019 Commodore, Craig Stoldt. On 5 January we have our Change of Watch and Awards Ceremony. It will be a chance to celebrate our accomplishments of the year and to welcome our new leaders for 2019! Please consider joining us for these traditional FWYC events and celebrations! Boy, what a year! We have some amazing members of this club who enjoy the club im- mensely and give back as much as they take away. Those members make this such a wonderful place, as they keep giving and giving so that we all can have a better yacht club experience. Many of these members go unnoticed, unrewarded, yet hopefully feel proud of their accomplishments. These members are the life-blood of our Club and the reason this is such a special place. Whether it’s leading a meeting, or participating in one; coaching youth out on the water and at regattas; running races for members who love the sport of sailing; painting and painting; fixing broken parts; providing activities for our youngest members and making them feel a real part of this club; solving problems time and time again; decorating for every event; planning every occasion; keeping track of trophies; keeping up with our history; picking up trash and emptying trash cans; managing our finances; taking inventory of our food and bev- erages; recruiting members; welcoming new members; weeding and trimming; arranging our dry storage; assigning and checking our wet slips; making our club house more attractive and inviting; ensuring our meetings run smoothly; plan- ning for hurricanes; fixing sailboats; keep- ing members decked out in FWYC apparel; working on our scat boat; trailering boats to and from regattas; publishing our club Monday, 31 December newsletter; repairing our docks; main- Cocktails and Hors d’oeuvres at 6 pm taining our technology; taking photos; Dinner and Dancing at 7 pm organizing cruises and flings; managing Changing of the Burgees and our website; fluffing wreaths and hanging Champagne Toast at midnight garland; or just coming to the aid of who- ever needs help, this is an amazing group of Please call the Office for Reservations people.
