Membership Happenings T here were about 500 comments on the 2017 Survey, which was terrific. 2017 and 2018 Flag Officers will be given the entire list. Question 12, What would you suggest to make FWYC better and to attract new members? Question 13, What additional activities would you like to see at FWYC? Question 14, Are there any FWYC policies or procedures you would change? Question 15, Do you have any other suggestions? Below is a summary of the most mentioned suggestions and comments for the four questions: • Continue improvements to Restaurant and Lounge, especially fresh seafood, healthier options and happy hours. • Find solutions to smoking on the patio. • The Board, Membership Committee, Members and Staff need to continue attracting new members and keep current members satisfied. (Extensive list of ideas) • Enhance water activities such as paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing. • Add Waterfront Director/Sailing Director to maintain a focus on sailing and offer sailing instruction for all ages. • Provide more activities for children. • Adding a pool continues to be mentioned by members. • Continue improvements on facility, docks, grounds. • Improve the appearance of our interior and exterior facilities by more frequent cleaning. • Institute a regular program of staff training that includes appropriate attire.
