Free for Members Guests ~ $15 EggNog Party December 11th 4:00p.m. T he Halloween party was, as usual, a very well attended event. A Variety of costumes with prizes for those who were most creative was fascinating. Thank you, Marion Bushey, for having it all organized. Flash Flood was the entertainment and dancing was enjoyed late into the evening. The November 5 entertainment event; Mentalmania, was loads of fun. Mark Stone brought a new and fun style of entertainment to our club. He kept everyone’s attention with his mental capabilities. I thought I was in Vegas throughout the evening. The kitchen staff did an outstanding job with the dinner menu. It was delicious and presented beautifully. There was nothing but positive comments on the food. The dining room staff, as well, deserve our applause for another wonderful job. A reminder of our annual Christmas boat parade with chili ‘cook off’ is on Thursday, December 15. I am encouraging everyone to be thinking about how they want to decorate their boat; power or sail, big or small. Also, something new this year is the CHRISTMAS UGLY SWEATER CONTEST. Dig out those oldies but goodies (sweaters, that is) and win a prize. I know there are a few ugly sweaters around as I have seen them; so put them on and join in the fun! Along with prizes for the contest winners, we have a surprise in store so plan to be here. You don’t have to own a boat to have some Holiday fun. New Year’s Eve this year has a theme of a Black & White Masquerade Ball. Jennifer Grant is heading up the party plans. Please plan to attend as we have a fantastic DJ that promises a wild and fun night for everyone. Make your reservations early and bring your friends. Details elsewhere in the Letter Log. I want to thank my Entertainment Committee who made this year’s activities come together with such ease. The committee volunteers were dedicated and creative and I hope the members enjoyed all the different events. ~Phyllis Seaton ~11~
